ACTIVE NOISE REDUCTION FOR ALPHA HELMETS
Our Active Noise Reduction (ANR) system offers all the benefits of high-performance noise reduction technology, with improved speech intelligibility and superb wearer comfort, and is a proven method for combating the unwanted, and often dangerous levels of noise experienced in modern civil and commercial helicopters and other aircraft.
The functional control module includes an auxiliary audio input with intercom/Aux priority switching, ideal for dedicated GPS and traffic warning systems. It also features a customisable audio prioritisation control with 'mute' and 'mix' settings, and flexible power circuitry with auto-on that switches to and from battery power and aircraft power. There are independent left and right volume controls, together with a separate volume control for telelphone communications through the Bluetooth function, which allows a wireless connection to a mobile phone to make and/or receive telephones calls.
The Alpha range of pilot helmets (Eagle and Alpha 900) are ideally suited for our Active Noise Reduction system. The ANR modules replace the standard earphones and a new downlead is installed, which can be straight or coiled. The original passive performance of the helmet as well as the fit of the helmet are unaffected by the installation of the ANR modules. The systerm is typically designd to be powered from the aircraft using a 6 Pin (Redel) plug or 8 Pin (Lemo) plug. There is a battery back-up system (2 x AA Batteries) for powering the ANR for a short period of time.
